Chonburi town has been settled since the Ayuddaya Period.Chonburi has long been a popular seaside town on Thailand's East Coast. It is well known as an agricultural centre whose crops include sugar cane, cassava, and rubber. In recent years it has been developed as an industrial centre under the Eastern Seaboard development project where a significant number of factories have been built.
Our guide to Koh Chang by our Pattaya local expert - Koh Chang is the largest Thai Island in the Gulf of Siam. This deeply forested and mountainous jewel covers some 429 Square Kilometers. There are many fine beaches and plentiful marine life. Koh Chang is also rich in natural resources with multiple hills, forests and waterfalls. The many freshwater streams feed acres of fruit orchards. The best beaches and scenic bays are found on the western side of the island.
